Thank-you, Lord, for those who will risk their lives for others.
If I were following the pattern that is emerging, I would be talking about Ben today. There are no rules for this, so I am going to go a different direction today.
As I returned home from an errand, all of our community's fire trucks were in the road and the fire fighters were at the neighbors house. It was only a small electrical fire that was quickly contained with little damage, but it made realize how thankful I am for these folks.
There usually isn't a lot of adventure associated with our small town Fire and Rescue department. It is strictly a volunteer department, though the City does pay a small stipend for their troubles. All of their members give their personal time for hours and hours of training. I know these people would be there in the event of a large fire or accident to help anyone in need, and for only $5 per call. Truly these are brave people who do it for the love of others.
Thank-you, Lord, for those who will risk their lives for others.
