Thank-you again, Lord, for the courage to step out of my comfort zone.
I know I have talked about this one before, but you gave me the opportunity to take on a huge fear for me on Sunday. I auditioned for the worship team at the new Hope Johnston-Grimes satellite. With exception of the shower or the car, I have not purposely sang in front of anyone in at least 25 years. Heather has encouraged me more than once to give it a try, but I was too scared. Thanks to you, I finally gave it a try and did pretty good. Thanks for Matt McNeese for his kind words of encouragement. My talent did not knock him off his chair, but he did suggest that I had potential that could be developed in the choir. Maybe this was just a nice way to say you are not good, but you are not bad. As nervous as I was to sing for Matt, I am equally excited to be a part of the choir and see how my voice grows.
Thank-you again, Lord, for the courage to step out of my comfort zone.
